The Product Manager is responsible for managing, optimizing, and growing ChemPoint product lines in accordance with these strategic aims by interacting with our suppliers and utilizing the resources of a market development team.  Product Managers make decisions related to campaign management, call flow management, product line strategy, and build product line content, collateral, and presentations.



    •    Act as a liaison and primary point of contact for ChemPoint’s suppliers, providing the first line support on product and customer issues.

    •    Build and maintain marketing plans, implement and monitor the team’s sales execution, and coordinate internal strategies for each product line.

    •    Develop the demographics, pricing strategy, supply chain strategy, competitor strategy, and campaign plan for multimillion dollars  product lines.

    •    Analyze sales results and market information pertaining to product lines.

    •    Create presentations which summarize marketing and sales results for suppliers.

    •    Conduct market research to better understand our customers' needs while driving revenue growth in alignment with our supplier objectives. 

    •    Coordinate industry team meetings and product line training, provide workflow and direction for Market Developers via campaigns




    •    Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business or other related discipline.

    •    Five or more years of experience as a Key Account Manager and/or Market Developer or equivalent strategic sales/marketing experience.

    •    Excellent listening, telephone, interviewing, and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to engage with a wide variety of personality types at various professional skill-levels.

    •    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills is required. CRM or other database experience, and familiarity with web-based applications highly desired.

    •    Consultative selling, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, plus knowledge of pricing and marketing strategies and customer and territory management.

    •    Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks on a continual basis.

    •    Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities.

    •    Experience building rapport and developing strong relationships.
