At ChemPoint, we focus on account management and retention of our valued customer base.  Our Sales Managers develop, implement, and execute strategic plans to retain and grow global sales through leading and supporting a multi-disciplinary sales team.  This includes managing all aspects of the employee life-cycle for a team of inside sales professionals. This role defines and refines ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles, sets sales territories, and defines resource needs in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations.

 

A DAY IN YOUR NEW CAREER:

  • Establish annual and quarterly sales and sales pipeline targets for respective industry that successfully integrate with overall business team or company strategies.
  • Set quarterly performance expectations and coaches, trains and aligns employee performance in all global interaction centers to attain product line objectives and targets.
  • Participate in customer interactions to assist the sales team in retaining business and acquiring new business.
  • Participate in recruiting and Employee Life Cycle Management planning to address key talent opportunities and risks.
  • Provide training to help develop sales skills and abilities within your team
  • Develop, implement, and execute strategic planning to retain and grow global sales in respective industry.
  • Define and refine ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations. 
  • Align behavior and actions with ChemPoint’s culture by showing up with energy, promoting and adapting to change, initiating and supporting innovation, leading with courage, and having fun.

 

DESIRED BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • Sales and/or leadership experience with strong desire to develop professional career.
  • Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business or other related discipline.
  • Experience working with tribologists and lubricant formulators as a purchaser or sales engineer
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong telephone skills, active listening skills, consultative selling skills, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills is required.  CRM and/or other database experience highly desired.
  • High-energy level paired with curiosity and keen desire to learn and understand business issues in a dynamic, aggressively-growing company.
  • Proactive, positive team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks on a continual basis.
  • Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities.
