The Human Resources Manager will oversee employee relations activities as well as be actively involved with recruitment, training and on-boarding.


Duties include:


  • Provides guidance on a wide variety of human resources issues to executives, managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Responsible for investigating resolving and advising on employee relations issues and recommending corrective action as needed. 
  • Provide assistance to management in resolving employee relations problems and/or issues.
  • Plays a leadership role in coaching and counseling field managers on all employee relations matters and desired leadership behaviors.
  • Assist management on all employee relations matters.  May collaborate with Corporate Labor Relations Counsel in investigation and resolution alternatives.
  • Coordinate with Leave Specialist on employee relation issues related coordinating leaves of absence with workers compensation, FMLA, ADA, Federal and State regulations balanced with needs for the field branch locations and local management.
  • Analyzes and determines training needs and delivers training programs for management in areas of recruiting, performance evaluation, progressive discipline, auto safety etc.
  • Responsible for training and guidance on the talent development process
  • Involvement in the talent acquisition process to include: sourcing, screening, and on-boarding.


Requirements are:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in human resources, recruiting and employee relations
  • Broad knowledge of all human resource functions
  • Broad knowledge of chemical distribution business
  • Ability to travel once a quarter
